Writer Marion Pauw, who was the first to leave Expedition Robinson this year, thinks André Hazes Jr. is really seeking the spotlight himself. “You don’t always need publicity.”
André Hazes Jr. always pretends that all the attention is happening to him and he doesn’t feel like it at all, but in the meantime he continues to sprinkle crumbs on social media. Just enough to keep the show media curious. And that is not necessary at all, writer Marion Pauw explains to him in an end-of-year overview of RTL Boulevard.
Always in the publicity
That André can also just say no to the spotlight for once, Marion explains. “It would be so nice for you if you just didn’t have to be André Hazes for a day. Just take some time off, you know. You don’t always have to be in the public eye all the time.”
Marion thinks it would do André a lot of good if he discovers that he doesn’t always have to deal with the media and the limelight. “I would just like André Hazes to really take some time off.”
Compliments from Quinty
In addition to Marion, a whole series of other Dutch celebrities give their opinion about André and his much-discussed documentary. One of them is Quinty Trustfull, the RTL coffee drinker who will soon be on the reserve bench. “I saw it and I complimented Monique on that, because I thought she was the stable factor in the whole documentary.”
She refers to Monique Westenberg. “I also like how she sat there and how she told everything… I thought: well, I think that’s great. After everything that happened, tell your story so calmly full of respect about everything and everyone. I think that’s great.”
And Mike?
Has Maik de Boer perhaps also looked? Yes. “I have seen that documentary, absolutely, because I go way back with the Hazes family. I used to sit in the pub with his father and we would always give a lot of beers in the hope that he would sing. That was, of course, the highest achievable.”
Gee, that’s a coincidence. Another well-known Dutchman who sat in the café with André Hazes sr. every evening.
