‘André Hazes Jr. really exaggerates’

Antoinette Scheulderman, de bestie Linda de Mol, who has a relationship with Gijp millionaire Michel van Egmond, thinks that André Hazes Jr. exaggerates his star status and that of his father.

André Hazes Jr. shows in his documentary series on Videoland that he is quite a neurotic narcissist. His life is only about himself and how he relates to his legendary father André Hazes. According to journalist Antoinnette Scheulderman, however, the folk singer goes a bit too far.

‘It’s in his upbringing’

Antoinette has the idea that André takes himself a little too seriously. “He also addresses his father as God at some point. He sees his father as a kind of God. Who made that boy believe…”, she says in Jinek.

She continues: “Obviously he was brought up comparing himself to his father. That is logically made, because the music is quite similar and he really followed in his father’s footsteps. Then you can get that. But I also think that it is in his upbringing that his father was made so big…”

Sneeze at Rachel

In other words: Antoinnette believes that mother Rachel Hazes has failed by blowing everything up to enormous proportions. “I mean: of course his mother still lives from the estate of Dré Hazes senior. It should be as large as possible, because then as much as possible will come…”

Hostess Eva Jinek: “But I can taste how you say it that it is a kind of wrong image what he has painted of his father.”

‘Can’t match’

That’s right, Antoinette agrees. “Of course he was also a very big singer and star, but for him that has become something so unrealistic that he can never match again. I think it’s a shame that no one around him has made it clear that he might be exaggerating that a bit.”

Incidentally, she is not very enthusiastic about André’s series on Videoland. “It’s like a kind of therapy session. I think it took a very long time.”
