André Hazes Jr. was put through the wringer in Paul de Leeuw’s TV show. There have been quite a few jokes about his poor ticket sales. “You don’t sniff or sell anymore!”

The make-up artist of the Paul de Leeuw show Hotel Hollandia Yesterday wasn’t exactly a good day. The imitation of André Hazes Jr. was nothing at all. It is that ‘bartender’ Thomas van Luyn announces him by name: “You are not alone, Maurice Steijn, I want you to know that, because we have someone else here who can no longer fill the stadiums: Dreetje Hazes!”

‘Do you want a card?’

When ‘André’ is asked if he wants a beer, he says: “No, I don’t drink anymore. I don’t sniff anymore, I don’t smoke anymore.”

‘Hotel employee’ Anniek Pheifer then said: “No, you don’t sell anymore either. Well done.”

André then to the imitation of the fired Ajax coach Maurice Steijn: “Maurice, would you like to buy a ticket? You have all the time now and it is in Ahoy. If you are popular anywhere, it is in Rotterdam!”

Empty stool

The fake Maurice then: “Ha-ha-ha. Well, Dreetje, in an almost empty Ahoy, your father’s lyrics come into their own better.”

André: “Which one?”

Maurice: “I was sitting next to an empty stool.”

Thomas: “Guys, just leave him alone. He has had a very sad time in the Arena.”

Midfield

André then: “Well, I’ve seen sadder things in the Arena. What then?! Well, my dad was lying in state in a coffin at the center spot.”

Maurice: “Well, that was an even better midfield than what we have now.”

Later, Mona Keijzer’s imitation shouts that she only speaks to Caroline van der Plas through the media. André: “Oh, I always have that with my family.”
