Gordon finds it very sad how ruthless André Hazes Jr. is being treated by the show media, but thinks he is ‘jointly responsible’ for it. “I know that André is very media horny.”
Gordon is not comfortable with how RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws treat the stars of our country. “Yes, they only want trouble. They want blood,” he says in buzz† “It hasn’t always been like this, but I feel like it’s just gotten a bit worse in recent years. That they are just really only after the bad, negative sides.”

André Hazes Jr. is a good example of this, says Gordon. “It’s not just with me, but with a lot of people. Take André Hazes Jr., for example, that poor kid. I mean, it just can’t do anything right anymore. Of course he is also partly responsible for that, because he really posts everything.”
Well, he posted… After all, André has been off social media for quite some time. ‘Very good’, says Gordon. But he seems skeptical: “I know André is very media-hungry. He admits that honestly and that’s what I like about him.”
VIP area
Really all show media were waiting for André at Schiphol in October when he returned home after a controversial summer. He emerged through the regular exit and struggled through the camera crews and photographers.
Gordon says about this: “He can also travel via the VIP center. I always do that. I don’t want people to know that I’m at Schiphol with my new love and stuff. Stop. I should not think about it. Just nice behind closed doors.”

Yet Gordon sympathizes with André. “What I find particularly annoying for him – because I know that there are also other problems that he struggles with – is that he is so under a magnifying glass, and he is still young, that he can really suffer from that. That is really possible.”
He continues: “I’ve been through the wool and I’ve been around for a long time and it still hurts when you read things that make you think: what the f*ck is this? But I think it’s for such a young person, such a young person who is building his career… I think it’s tough.”

André is no longer hot news for a long time now. Even the Marco Borsato riot has already settled down a bit. What does Gordon actually think of that? “The funny thing is that I already knew it for a few years. I didn’t believe it at first. I thought: that will pass. I was actually shocked that it came out. I thought: Jesus, is it true then?”
“So it turns out to be true, so that’s a hard blow. As I know Marco, I think I can say with a lot of people that I expected a lot of things from him, but not this one. No, very painful to hear this. To do something like that is the lowest station you can do, I think.”
