Patty Brard is quite shocked by the photos and videos that André Hazes Jr. posts on Instagram. It shows how he makes his son Dré (6) drink energy drinks. “So weird!”
André Hazes Jr. is traveling through the United States with his flashing fiancé Monique Westenberg and their son. They post countless photos and videos of it on social media. Some of them show how André gives their 6-year-old son the energy drink ZOA, which is really full of caffeine.
Caffeine tsunami
There is a lot in it, says Luuk Ikink. He says in the RTL Boulevard from yesterday: “I hope he hasn’t completely finished his can, that little Dré, because then he probably slept badly. It contains 160 milligrams of caffeine tropical punch and that is as much as three cups of coffee or five cans of coke. I like it a lot.”
In general, it is recommended that young children like André’s should not be given caffeine. After all, they are still developing and their bodies and brains are more sensitive to the effects of caffeine than those of adults. It can lead to side effects such as nervousness, insomnia, headache, upset stomach and increased heart rate.
Patty critical
Patty Brard says in Show news that she finds it very clumsy of André. “What he occasionally post and sometimes it’s so weird. Today another picture of him came out with little Dré. It’s all so clumsy sometimes,” said the television diva, who was blocked by the folk singer because of her critical opinion.
She continues: “Now he has another picture of him with little Dré with some kind of energy drink for which he then records a commercial, little Dré. He is drinking that with that child and that is really a drink that does not make you sleep for three days.”
Irresponsible
It’s irresponsible, Patty thinks. “It really is a drink that says 18 years or older with a lot of caffeine and then he says: ‘Tell me where you can buy it!’, and then you just see that it is also a child itself. It is very inconvenient at times. A media manager would be fantastic.”
Incidentally, André’s Ahoy concert is still not sold out after a month. The singer recently admitted that he would have preferred to sell out within an hour, but: “I’m just very grateful with where we are right now there.”
