André Hazes Jr. gets a big verbal punch for his choosing. According to journalist and columnist Bas Paternotte, he exhibits ‘psychopath behaviour’. “That boy is really not good.”
After a very long media silence, André Hazes Jr. broke the silence last week for a staged attack on his sister Roxeanne. He teams up with his mother Rachel to portray Roxeanne as some sort of fantasist. André has come under fierce criticism, including from hazologist Yvonne Coldeweijer.
‘Rox is the normal’
The attack by André and Rachel also arouses little sympathy with Bas Paternotte and Jan Dijkgraaf, who discuss current events in their podcast Nare Jongens. They are team Roxeanne. “Roxeanne is normal and the other two make me puke”, says Jan, columnist and biographer of the Meilandjes, in their extra podcast Calling Bassie.
Roxeanne has opened a book about her bizarre childhood in the TV show Beste Zangers. However, her mother Rachel does not tolerate any criticism of her motherhood and has lashed out at Roxeanne in a very vicious way. Rachel receives support from André, who was also at odds with his mother for years, but now lives happily at her home again.
Psychopath behavior
We shouldn’t take André too seriously, thinks co-host Bas, a journalist at NieuwNieuws. “I find Hazes junior a bit scary. Do you remember that he was in a relationship with Bridget Maasland for a short time? Then they’re in a cafe and someone had filmed that and then he grabs her head, nose to nose, and then he sings loudly to her face.”
That’s just terrifying, Bas thinks. “You know those images? That is real freaky. That’s psychopath behavior. Alleged psychopath behaviour. That boy is not good either.”

Jan is not surprised about that. “No, of course it’s not good. You do know that men and women are advised not to drink if they are planning to have children, right? Well, there hasn’t been a day in André Hazes senior’s life that he didn’t drink.”
André is the result of drunkenness during conception, according to Jan. “There’s a syndrome in the Eastern Bloc, too, isn’t there? They seem to have those block heads and that syndrome children get if their parents were drunk during conception. The chance that André Hazes senior could father normal children, given his behavior with alcohol, was very small.”
milk out
What about Rachel? It has already been written off by the gentlemen. “André Hazes was milked even more after his death by Rachel than before his death and I think that is the plague with that family. That the cow has not been milked to the last drop, but that the entire udder has simply been squeezed. And that for how long!” Jan shouts.
He continues: “How long has that guy been dead, dude? Fifteen or twenty years? And when she’d made some money again, she’d have them put on extra tits or have her face remodeled or buy those ordinary three-foot fake nails. That person… You see on all sides that it is no good.”
Roxeanne, he says, is the exception. “She’s the most normal.”
