André Hazes jr. finds comeback a great success: ‘At the bottom of the top 20!’

André Hazes jr. is very happy with how his comeback single Deel Van Mij is performing. A child’s hand is quickly filled or is it just pretending? Probably the latter: that record is a mega flop.

It was launched with enormous fanfare: the new André Hazes jr. single Deel Van Mij, best known for the doppelgänger tune it contains. It’s very lucky that the creator of the original, Gavin DeGraw, doesn’t make a big deal of it, because that song is anything but a blockbuster. In fact, it’s quite a flop.

From the Tip Parade

André exclaimed two weeks ago with great enthusiasm that he is on the 22nd place of the Tipparade, a list of records that have a chance at a spot in the Top 40. “We are just one place above Drake. I don’t think that has ever happened and that’s because you guys are streaming nicely, so please keep doing that.”

Well, we are now a few weeks further. Has André now reached that Top 40? No. Not even in the lower regions? No. Has he at least risen in that Tip Parade? No! In fact, there it is already! So painful…

Other hit list

Is there not a single hit list where André is parked in the lower regions? Ah, happy! 100% NL also seems to have a music list. The ninth largest radio station in the country.

André in a hysterical Instagram story: “Ladies and gentlemen, a message from the gym in Las Vegas: as you saw, we made it into the top 20 of 100% NL. That has never happened to me. I am very happy about that, thank you. I am very grateful that it happened.”

‘Fantastic!’

Who has ever heard of the 100% NL Top 20? At least not André himself. “I don’t know how it works and whether people voted. In that case, thank you for voting. I don’t know if that’s the case at all. I’m very happy: number 18 in the top 20. Never happened before. I think it is fantastic! Real! Yes, thank you guys!”

André will give a concert later this year, where he will also sing his old folk songs in addition to Deel Van Mij. The concert doesn’t have a name yet, but maybe Deel Van De Zaal is an apt title. The rest of the hall is not sold out.

Monique Westenberg and their son Dré have flown back to the Netherlands; André stayed behind in Las Vegas with his slippery mates:
