André Gyselbrecht is serving time with an ankle bracelet

Gyselbrecht, the former doctor from Ruiselede, has been allowed to leave the prison regularly in recent months.

At his request, the sentencing court has approved that he can serve the rest of his sentence at home with an ankle bracelet. It should have been posted today. He is followed by a judicial assistant.

Castle murder

72-year-old André Gyselbrecht was sentenced to 21 years in prison in 2019 for his part in the Kasteelmurder.

According to the court, he had ordered the murder of his son-in-law Stijn Saelens. He was shot on January 31, 2012 in his castle in Wingene.
