Anders Byström admitted that he only spoke out of confusion.
PDO
Sweden’s head coach Anders Byström threw a curveball at the Norwegian camp today.
The man said in January that he took the first World Cup victory of his career by Kristine Skistad24, to be the biggest favorite in Planica’s WC sprint on Thursday.
– They must have lived on Mars for quite a long time. They probably haven’t noticed that I’ve only been skiing really well for a quarter of an hour, Skistad acknowledged Swedish argument.
– That just gives me energy.
Bewilderment
Skistad won the traditional sprint of Les Rousses before Emma Ribomin, Maja Dahlqvist’s and Linn Svahnin swedish front.
Svahn was embarrassed by his boss’s throw.
– Did Byström say that he is the biggest favorite, the woman wondered, according to Aftonbladet.
– He did win the last race, but I still believe that we are at the start with five skiers, because we have the reigning world champion. It also pretty much determines the stamp of a favorite, Svahn pointed out To Jonna Sundling.
Svahn and Dahlqvist have won the sprint cup of the world cup.
Shuffled the pack
Aftonbladet also caught up with Byström, who admitted that he had mixed things up a bit with his words.
– I said so to the Norwegian media. Then you can say things like that, he smirked.
– Of course, I have the greatest credit in our skiers. It was a fun little fling. But at the same time he was really good in France. He is one of the toughest opponents that should not be underestimated.
The women’s sprint qualifiers of the Planica World Ski Championships will be skied today from 1 p.m.
