The umpteenth accident happened around 7 p.m. on the infamous Aalsmeer roundabout of the Burgemeester Kasteleinweg and the Dorpsstraat. This time a meal delivery driver riding a bicycle collided with a Connexxion bus.
This happened as the bus exited the roundabout. Buses go straight through the middle of this roundabout. Traffic lights warn other traffic when a bus is approaching. The front windshield of the bus suffered a significant dent from the collision, but the meal delivery driver was not injured. A spokesman for the police informs NH.
A reporter at the scene saw about twenty shocked passengers get off the bus after the accident. The bus can no longer continue and the police have briefly closed off the road, “but we were mainly present for mediation,” said the spokesperson.

Today she was again at the roundabout. “I’m glad that boy is not injured, but he was very upset.” Monique is building a file of all accidents that happen in the hope that the municipality will take measures.
