A pub where Neuköllners have been meeting for their after-work beer for years, seeing old friends again and making new ones.
Berlin loses its charm. And the mill just keeps on turning. More and more well-established shops are closing, and hip shops are following in their place. Shops where a pilsner costs less than 2.80 euros. Shops that Berliners can no longer identify with. Because with every pub, a piece of memory dies.
The 40th anniversary in March 2024 would be a small sentimental victory for the “Kindl Klause”. And probably the last nice party. But the result remains the same: the corner pub has to go.
What follows the “Kindl Klause” – unclear. Definitely not a pub. No meeting point for the neighborhood.
