And after the festivities? Where to spend January 1

Different gastronomic venues open their doors at noon and/or at night to continue with toasts with family or friends.

– After meetings and toasts, it can be a good time to get away from the city and relax your mind. This plan is possible in Trufa (R. Caamaño 1370, Pilar), inside the CasaSur hotel. On January 1, it will open its doors between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. with a proposal that is divided into two: a restaurant on the ground floor with an elegant atmosphere and a sophisticated signature cuisine proposal; and a beautiful rooftop on the 4th floor that invites you to share tapas and signature cocktails while enjoying chill music and one of the most attractive sunsets in Buenos Aires.

– If you are tempted by good grilled meats, take into account the Hierro restaurant (Costa Rica 5602, Palermo and Boulevard del Mirador 220, Nordelta) that will receive its diners from 8 pm. It is an attractive grill with a modern proposal, starring pieces aged indoors, original accompaniments with seasonal vegetables and tasty artisan dishes. In addition, they have an outstanding selection of wines and signature cocktails.

– Do you want a more informal plan? Pizza and wine is the response of Mil y Pico (Av. Dorrego 1194, Chacarita and Av de Los Incas 5499, Parque Chas) for the night of the 1st. In places with an eclectic and relaxed style, the renowned Danilo Ferraz prepares thin and crispy pizzas cooked on the grill, crowned with unusual ingredients. The special Fugazzeta (mozzarella, onion confit, creamy goat cheese and ground cachi chili) and the Calabria (Italian pomodoro, mozzarella, Pietro Sorba nduja, peppers, red onion and basil) stand out.

– The proposal of Virgen (Av. Caseros 467, San Telmo) is ideal to start the new year with fresh and vibrant flavors. This new Mexican restaurant surprises with its modern look and its menu that covers traditional recipes in a contemporary way. Guacamole and provoleta flambéed with tequila, sea tartare with cucumber aguachile, cochinita pibil tacos, beef quesadillas and salmon enchiladas are some of the suggested dishes. On Sunday you can visit from 17 pm.

– For vegans, vegetarians or plant-based cooking enthusiasts, JOY Burgers & Plants (Donado 1877, Villa Urquiza) will open from 7 pm with its hamburgers, similar nuggets, mac&cheese, French fries and more street-food options. The international projection brand works in partnership with Felices las Vacas, which is a benchmark in the production of plant-based foods. One of the favorite burgers is the Big Joy: double smashed medallion, double vegan cheddar, lettuce, pickles, green onions and Thousand Island dressing, served on an artisan bun with seeds.
