In the Ukrainian suburb of Butya, Anastasia Alekseyuk (29) went through hell. She saw how furious Russians sowed terror door to door and had to flee from the bombs and artillery guns. In the meantime Anastasia has been staying in Belgium for almost six months, but her situation has hardly improved. She was born in Belarus and therefore does not have the same rights as Ukrainians. “I went through hell in Boetsja. I thought I would finally be safe in Belgium and start a new life, but the hopelessness here is unbearable.”
