The first training of the new season was scheduled for Telstar today. In addition to eight test players, Anass Najah, Ronald Koeman Jr. and Stanley Akoy were also on the field.
Anass Najah played at the second level in Cyprus with Akritas Chlorakas last season. He promoted to the highest level with that club. “Yet I was not allowed to stay. I feel a bit used. I heard from my agent that I had to leave, but I never heard from the club why,” says Najah.
Telstar trainer Mike Snoei switched quickly and managed to bring the midfielder back to Velsen-Zuid for one season. Stanley Akoy will also play at Telstar next season.
Jip Molenaar was not on the field with the first team. He trains with the promises and with that he seems to have reached a dead end at Telstar.
Goalkeepers
Goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr. has verbally agreed with the club. Keepers Trevor Doornbusch and Abdel el Ouazzane are not in the plans of trainer Mike Snoei. The duo has said goodbye. That is remarkable, because Doornbusch still had an ongoing contract with Telstar.
Test players
In the coming weeks, many players will again be on trial at Telstar. Today there were eight:
- Joey Houweling (Young FC Utrecht)
- Lionel Miguel (FC Emmen)
- Giovanni Buttner (TOP Oss)
- Jonathan Vergara Berrio (The County)
- Quinten van den Heerik (PEC Zwolle)
- Rohat Agca (Heracles)
- Jorginho Soares (ASWH)
- Baboucarr Gaye (Koblenz RW)
Later today, videos of trainer Mike Snoei, Anassa Najah and Ronald Koeman Jr. will appear online
