French baguette, Belgian carnival tradition and Cuban rum soon to be intangible heritage? Unesco is considering new recognitions
In the coming week, some Unesco experts will examine a list of products and dishes that want recognition as intangible heritage. The Unesco Cultural Intangible Heritage Committee, chaired by Morocco, has 56 applications before it. Fair parties in France and Belgium, the light Cuban rum and the French baguette, among others, have submitted an application.
