NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The analysis house Jefferies has left Philips at “underperform” with a price target of 17 euros. The recall of 340 MRI machines reported by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to the risk of explosion was of a manageable size, but was another recall in the highest category, analyst Julien Dormois wrote in a study available on Thursday. This means that the medical technology manufacturer is once again in the spotlight with quality and safety problems. The share price is likely to suffer a setback, especially since it has performed best within the sector since the beginning of the year./gl/mis
