External search for successor Overmars seems to have stopped for the time being
Ajax seems to have suspended the external search for a successor to Marc Overmars for the time being. After the club initially polled Jordi Cruijff after the departure of the director of football affairs, the red carpet now seems to be rolled out for the inseparable duo. H2† Technical manager Gerry Hamstra and his right-hand man Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have so far fulfilled Overmars’ role to the satisfaction of the management and supervisory board, with the appointment of Alfred Schreuder being the first tangible result.
