The play-off pairings for the 2021-2022 season in the Basketball THY Europa League have been announced.
The regular season in the league was completed with the match in which Israeli representative Maccabi Playtika defeated Fenerbahçe Beko 85-76 and the play-off matches were determined.
The last champion Anadolu Efes, who made it to the play-offs and finished the regular season in 6th place, was paired with the 3rd ranked Italian representative AX Armani Exchange Milan.
Maccabi Playtika, who finished 5th in the league, will fight to qualify for the Final Four with Real Madrid, the 4th ranked Spanish team.
Finishing the regular season as the leader, Barcelona (Spain) will face 8th place Bayern Munich (Germany), 2nd place Olympiakos (Greece) and 7th place Monaco (France) in the play-offs.
The play-off matches in the league will be played between 19 April and 4 May. Barcelona, Olympiakos, AX Armani Exchange Milan and Real Madrid will have the advantage of the field and the audience in the play-off matches. The first two matches will be played on the grounds of these teams. The side that has 3 victories in the matches will have its name written in the Final Four, which will be played in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, on 19-21 May.
