THY Europa League champion Anadolu Efes has transferred US forward Will Clyburn.


According to the statement made by the navy-blue-white club, the 2.01-meter-tall striker signed a 2-year contract.


Graduating from Iowa State University in 2013, Will Clyburn started his professional career in Germany’s Ratiopharm Ulm team in the 2013-2014 season. After playing here for two seasons, the 32-year-old basketball player, who worked for Israel’s Hapoel Holon team for one season, transferred to Darüşşafaka at the beginning of the 2016-2017 season.


The successful player, who also played in Darüşşafaka for one season, went to Russia’s CSKA Moscow team after a season and served there until the end of the 2021-22 season.


Clyburn, who won the VTB League championship with CSKA Moscow in 2018, 2019 and 2021, won the THY Europa League championship in the 2018-2019 season. The experienced striker, who was selected as the most valuable player of the Final Four in the said season, also took part in the best five of the season.


This season, the American player, who played an average of 28 minutes and 11 seconds in 20 matches with CSKA Moscow in the THY Europa League, struggled with averages of 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists.


In the VTB League, Will Clyburn averaged 26 minutes and 7 seconds in 26 games, averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
