Citizens want to regulate it
The deputy spokesperson for Ciudadanos in the Congress of Deputies, Edmundo Bal, has indicated that the Government must propose “a legal regulation that would provide security for the maintenance of the rights of minors” even though “it does not agree” with surrogacy . “The Government does not agree nor does the opposition, we are the only party that raises it. With this surrogacy system, how many famous people in our country have this family through this system?” Bal asked in statements to the media in the Congress of Deputies, in reference to Ana Obregón’s decision to have a child by surrogacy in the United States.
