The Dane was clearly superior to Fred Wright and Hugo Houle in the last sprint

Mads Pedersen had escaped with less than 10 kilometers to go along with his two rivals in the sprint

In an exciting escape to something more than ten kilometers, Mads Pedersen took the thirteenth stage of the Tour de France in Saint-Étienne after 192.5 kilometers.

The Dane clearly prevailed over the two pursuers in the final sprint Fred Wright and Hugo Houlewho fought with everything until the final meters, when Pedersen decided to attack and distance himself from them.

This is the first victory for the Dane, not only in the Tour de France, but in any of the three stage Grand Tours.

Mads Pedersen is the third Danish cyclist to achieve a stage victory in the current Tour de France after Magnus Court Y jonas vingegaard. Only once in history have three different Danish cyclists achieved three victories in the same edition of the French round. It was in 1994 through Bo Hamburger, Bjarne Riis and Rolf Sørensen.

At the arrival of the peloton there were no differences between the candidates for the final victory on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
