Alma will not forget the words of the man she met in Kallio.
Time Machine Alma, who released the album, received a total of five Emma nominations, of which the nomination in the Critics’ Choice category is the most heart-warming.
– It feels really good, but the album is also good, Alma said at the Emma gala press conference.
The album has received positive reviews around the world, and according to Alma, everyone who has heard it has liked it.
– I made a timeless album. Today we make crap out of plastic. I rebelled against the fast, plastic hit-sampling crap. My agenda is that the record is and will remain for the rest of my life.
One comment, the whole encounter is especially memorable for Alma. It was a man unknown to Alma.
Jani Korpela
– I was walking in Kallio when a middle-aged man came to talk to me. He started to cry, and told how the record opened something in him. He cried in front of me. Usually when a grown man comes to talk to me, it’s for sniffing.
– He was moved by that album, it was really cool. I froze a bit, luckily I had a friend with me who helped. I just wanted to say thank you for saying that.
“Is that Alma crazy”
Alma plans to share some exciting news in the near future, which she cannot specify in more detail.
– You will be surprised. You are also in the office, what is he doing, is Alma upset.
Alma says that the news is not related to music or gigging, but is personal news.
– I’m not pregnant! Nobody is pregnant! But this news excites me the most in my career.
Alma spends a lot of time abroad, and sometimes she is asked the most unusual things about Finland. Strange questions are asked especially in the United States.
– They ask about polar bears. Someone asked if it is dangerous to live in Finland because of the wild animals. I showed from Google’s street view that right here in Finland there is quite a city, Alma smiles.
