Rachel Zegler, named as the lead actress of the upcoming Snow White film, is causing a stir on social media.
Actor Rachel Zegler22, is currently the subject of much outrage. TMZ-magazine, a video of the star from a year ago is spreading on social media, in which he says that the upcoming Snow White movie is a modern version of the classic character.
– It is not 1937 anymore. She (Snow White) will not be rescued by the prince, nor will she dream of true love, but strives to be the leader she knows she can become. The leader her father said his daughter could be if she is fearless, honest, brave and authentic, Zegler said in a video interview with Variety.
TMZ-magazine, the interview in question has been brought up because the film is already in the midst of a major uproar. Zegler’s words in the video have received a furious reception, especially on the X application (formerly Twitter).
– It’s a different movie with the same name. They are trying to erase the original story.
– Rename it! Stop editing our history for your own agenda.
– I save my wife every day and she also saves me. It’s not a crime even in 2023.

– They just ruined their own movie.
– It’s really kind of them to warn me about the badness of the movie before I’ve had time to decide if I’m going to go see it.
– So Snow White no longer gets love or a husband, but is the leader? Will the possible sequel then tell how Snow White cries every night because she hates her job? That would be a really modern angle to the story.
The actor and Disney also get some defense on social media.
– It’s just a fictional fairy tale. Life is about change.
– That actually sounds like a much more interesting perspective to bring these stories to the modern world.
Disney’s upcoming staged version of the classic has been talked about, among other things, because the company decided to hire a Latino actor for the role, who, according to the story, has “skin as pale as snow”. In addition, Disney received more fury when behind-the-scenes photos revealed that only one of the seven dwarf characters is short.
