The right lane of the A58 from Eindhoven to Tilburg was closed from half past five to seven o’clock after an accident near Moergestel. A truck and a van were involved in this accident, a spokesman for the ANWB reported.
According to the ANWB spokesperson, one of the vehicles involved caught fire. That is why the entire road was initially closed, but a lane was reopened just before six o’clock.
Oil on the road
Around seven o’clock Friday morning, the closure of the lane at Moergestel led to a six-kilometre traffic jam from Best, accounting for a delay of more than half an hour.
There was oil on the road. A so-called zoab cleaner was called in to clean the road.
