When the sun went down, many Berlin front gardens were transformed into a glowing pumpkin landscape and little ghosts went from house to house in search of sweets.
“Trick or treats” was also the motto on Monday at the gate to the spooky decorated haunted house on the outskirts of Zehlendorf. Lots of skeletons, graves and lots of spider webs caused the little ones to shudder.

But the spooky night doesn’t just bring sweets every year. According to the police, damage to property, physical injuries and disturbances of the peace are increasing on Halloween night. Therefore, the presence was increased again on the day.
Especially in Schöneberg around Potsdamer Strasse, Pallasstrasse and Goebenstrasse and in the Gesundbrunnen area, more officials were deployed.
