And behind each death there is a story of unfathomable cruelty, some linked to the world of sports such as those shown by the Israel Premier Tech, a cycling team where riders like Chris Froomewho has published part of that cruelty on their networks.
It has been reported the case of a triathlete who was murdered along with his entire family, of some mountain bikers who were surrounded and murdered when they were on their way to train, of cyclists who hid for hours under the bushes to escape of the enemies who were looking for them, of the young 15-year-old runner who saved his father’s life and who narrowly escaped and others who continue missing.

Neither as a country nor as individuals.” guy spent the last 24 hours going from one lost friend’s funeral to another. She was also in the hospital Wolfsonvisiting two injured young cyclists and assuring them that he would ride with them as soon as they recovered: “They are the heroes. “I told them that and I meant every word.”
Rafi Shitritfire chief in the western Negev and road and mountain cyclist, member of a group of 15 to 20 friends in his small, anonymous cycling club, remembers that they planned to meet on Saturday at 06:30 near the Kibbutz Be’eri for his last workout before the EPIC ISRAEL mountain bike race: “I guess you can call it ‘The Last Ride’ now,” he says, remembering his friends’ names dead.
“Tomer Shpirer was one of them and he was very excited about the next race,” he recalled Shitrit. Tomer was one of the cyclists who arrived early and as they were preparing for the ride, the first wave of rockets began to explode and was ambushed and shot by Hamas terrorists who were turning the area into an extermination camp. Another cyclist, Evgeny Galsky, was killed not far away. The others were no better luck: “We were informed of the confirmed deaths of two other people. And I’m afraid this is not the end of the list, including the cyclists who were out there and who were not even know“.
