Temptations arise easily, with little preparation.
Mari Moilanen
You can actually say that the temptation is ready by itself, simmering in the heat of the oven. The end result is charming.
Temptations are clever. You can use a frozen potato-onion mixture as the raw material for the temptation. In this case, you only prepare ingredients that give taste to the temptation.
It can be traditional anchovies, but also cold-smoked salmon, salted mushrooms or, as in this recipe, reindeer jerky.
While temptation simmers in the oven, the side dishes of the meal are put together in bowls. Someone loves pickles, another swears by lingonberry juice. I personally think that both are better.
If you want to get the meal on the table really quickly, you can tempt yourself to prepare it in the cold the night before.

Wine recommendation
Reindeer jerky temptation is such an excellent and tasty oven dish that you can also pair it with a glass of wine.
A delicious choice for this gamey meal is a wine made from Cabernet Franc grapes. Unfortunately, we rarely come across 100% Cabernet Franc wines, although a lot of them are made from this important blended grape – for example in the Loire Valley.
The taste of Cabernet Franc has a delicious, fresh raspberry and the freshly sharpened pencil typical of this grape. Wine is the most excellent food drink and a popular choice in French bistros as an appetizer for meals. You can get the taste of the delicious Loire Valley Cabernet Franc wine, or Chinon, by pouring this quite tasty Domaine de Noiré Elégance 2018 red wine (€19.99) into a glass.
