An attentive passerby in Gasselte managed to prevent a fire in several trucks last night. The man was on his way to work when he suddenly saw fire on Gieterstraat.
Four trucks were parked on the site. In one of them, a fire had broken out near the rear wheels of the trailer. The Gieten fire brigade quickly extinguished the fire, limiting the damage. The other trucks were not damaged.
It is not yet clear how the fire started.
