Delano Burgzorg leaves Heracles Almelo and immediately makes the step to FSV Mainz. The German club rents the 23-year-old top scorer from the Almeloërs with an option to buy.
Burgzorg made the step from the Italian Spezia to Heracles in 2019. In Almelo, the Amsterdam attacker played 54 league matches in which he scored ten times. This season he found the net four times and is therefore Heracles’ top scorer.
Career
In Amsterdam Burgzorg played for the amateur clubs TOS-Actief, DWV and Zeeburgia. In 2015 he ended up in the youth academy of De Graafschap and then also broke through in professional football with the Achterhoekers.
Bundesliga
FSV Mainz is the number ten in the Bundesliga and has two Dutch players under contract with Jean-Paul Boëtius and Jeremiah St. Juste. The first game for Burgzorg with FSV Mainz is at home against Hoffenheim next Saturday.
