The Hermitage Amsterdam on Thursday severed all ties with the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Dutch art institution has been under fire since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for curating exhibitions from the vast collection of the Russian state museum. The director of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg is on good terms with President Putin.
