Amsterdam cyclist Dylan Groenewegen sprints to win in Norway

Amsterdam cyclist Dylan Groenewegen has won the second stage in the Tour of Norway. He was the fastest in a bunch sprint.

The second stage in the Tour of Norway is probably the only stage where a bunch sprint was possible. Groenewegen almost fell in the hectic final phase, but in the end he beat Amaury Capiot and Edvald Boasson Hagen.

It is Groenewegen’s seventh win of the season. Last month he won the third stage in the Tour de France.

“I didn’t have my regular sprint train here, because there are also classification riders, but my teammates did a fantastic job in the hectic pace. I started the sprint very early, but it was enough. We are in good shape as a team and now have a stage win. I feel good and look forward to the coming days”, Groenewegen reacted afterwards.
