A resident of the Kralenbeek apartment in Amsterdam-Zuidoost was startled this afternoon by one or more burglars in his home. The perpetrator or perpetrators then threatened the resident.
A home invasion was reported at the address around 6:30 PM, but according to a police spokesperson it happened a few hours earlier and it remains to be seen whether it should be seen as a burglary or home invasion. “We don’t know what the intention was, did the person want to break in and bump into someone or was the intention to commit a robbery?”
It appears that the perpetrator or perpetrators fled with loot. The police have started an investigation and the spokesperson is calling on people who have seen ‘unusual behavior’ in the area to come forward.
