The Amputee Football National Team, which won the 2022 Amputee Football World Cup held in Istanbul, came to Ankara. Arriving at Ankara Esenboğa Airport, coach Osman Çakmak, champion athletes and some managers were greeted with flowers.
Osman Çakmak, who made a statement to the journalists here, said that the footballers struggled with enthusiasm in the matches. Stating that the players put their characters on the field, Çakmak used the following statements:
In 2018, we gave the trophy to Angola. At that time, we deserved the World Cup. However, we ended up on penalties. I missed the penalty. My brothers have taught Angola a lesson now, they have scored a goal every year. They became world champions with a clear score of 4-1. How lucky are we to be the children of this land. Good luck to your children’s feet. Hopefully, our next goal is to bring a brother to the cup in the same way.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Ankara Mosud Mannan congratulated the national team and managers he met at the airport.
