Former midfielder of the French team PSG Aminata Diallo27, has been arrested on suspicion of being his then-teammate Kheira Hamraouin, 32, involved in assault. In addition to Diallo, the police have arrested five other people.
The assault took place last November, when two masked men dragged Hamraou out of the car and beat him with iron pipes. Hamraoui was driving home from a team meal.
Diallo was arrested after the incident, but guilt could not be proven then. The player has denied his involvement in the abuse.
On Friday, Diallo was arrested again and charged. According to RMC, Diallo is considered a “sponsor” of the abuse.
The police investigated Diallo’s phone calls, messages and laptop. According to L’Equipe, at the time of the assault, keywords about a toxic cocktail and breaking a kneecap had been found on the computer.
Le Parisien says that the masked men would have been called after the assault. The contact on the other end of the line had been furious that Hamraoui’s legs had not been broken in the attack.
It has been suspected that there was jealousy between the two footballers. Diallo and Hamraouin competed for the same playing spot.
Diallo’s contract with PSG ended last season. He ended his football career after the contract expired.
Hamraoui was hospitalized due to the abuse. His hands and feet had to be stitched. The woman has not yet played this season.
