Amika leaves Plopsaland and moves to Alveringem
Plopsaland De Panne has announced that Amika, the white horse from the children’s series of the same name, will no longer be staying at the amusement park. The 27-year-old horse’s health deteriorated rapidly due to COPD, a severe lung disease. In consultation with the vet, Amika found a new home with his former caretaker in Gijverinkhove in Alveringem. Amika immediately recognized his old caretaker and couldn’t stay with his satisfaction.
Due to its unique character, Plopsa decided not to replace Amika. The home of the white horse, the Big & Betsy Hoeve, will be commemorated to maintain farm life in the park.
