American Pie 5: Tara Reid reveals details about possible sequel

The fourth part of the “American Pie” series recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. In it, the troupe around Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) came together again for a class reunion. In keeping with the anniversary, there is now new information on a fifth part of the series.

Shortly after the theatrical success of the fourth film in the series, there were calls for a sequel. Most recently, Vicky actress Tara Reid fueled rumors of a fifth part. In an interview with ET Online, she said that the script for a sequel is already finished. According to Reid, the implementation failed mainly because of the busy schedules of the stars.

“I can’t tell you when because I don’t really know because we have to get all the cast together and at the same time we have to put our schedules together,” she explained in the interview. After the “American Pie” films, Reid attracted attention primarily with her role in the “Sharknado” films.

The screenplay of the fifth part is one of the best in the series, the actress explained further, she wants to do advertising. The new film would be exciting because the teenagers of yesteryear are now not only grown up, but will also be a stage in their lives further than they were last. Recently it became known that the action of the film will take place in Las Vegas. The group around main actor Jason Biggs is supposed to take a vacation to the gambling den.

Other important positions behind the camera are said to have already been filled: Hayden Schlossberg (“Harold & Kumar”, “Cobra Kai”) and Jon Hurwitz, who already directed the fourth part of the series, will direct. There is no release date for “American Pie 5” yet.

The first part of the series was published in 1999. This was followed at a distance by sequels such as “American Pie 2” and “American Pie – Now we’re getting married”.
