the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals have after the end of the regular season in the National Football League each separately from their head coaches.
Houston gave the end to coach Lovie Smith after the 32:31 over the Indianapolis Colts known on Sunday. With three wins, 13 losses and one draw, the Texans were the weakest team in the AFC and missed the playoffs for the third time in a row. Just prior to this season, Smith took over from David Culley, who was fired a year ago.
Arizona parted ways with head coach Kliff Kingsbury. In addition, manager Steve Keim announced his own retirement to “focus on his health”. The Cardinals also missed the playoffs with just four wins from 17 games and had lost the last seven games in a row.
