American Football | NFL: New York Giants sign Daboll as new head coach

The New York Giants have a new head coach. As the NFL team announced, Brian Daboll, previously offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills, will lead the Giants in the coming season.

He succeeds General Manager Joe Schoen, who also moved to New York from Buffalo a week earlier.

The New York Giants, 2011 Super Bowl winners, have only made the playoffs once in the past ten years and have had a negative record for five years. Two weeks ago, head coach Joe Judge was given a two-season leave of absence.

Daboll, meanwhile, developed a remarkable offensive line around quarterback Josh Allen in his four years at Buffalo. The Bills were eliminated last weekend in a spectacular game with 36:42 only after overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
