American boy (10) convicted of urinating in public: “A white child would never be arrested for this”

A 10-year-old boy has been convicted of urinating in public in Mississippi. Although the local police admitted that they made an error of judgment in arresting the boy, he was still given a suspended prison sentence of three months. The boy’s lawyer, his mother and several civil rights groups are convinced that the boy’s skin color played an important role in the conviction.
