Gilbert Postelle, 35, has been executed in the US state of Oklahoma. He was sentenced to death for killing four people along with three others in 2005 as part of a family feud.
Together with his father, brother and a fourth companion, Postelle wanted to take revenge in 2005 on the man who, according to them, had caused a motorcycle accident. His father was seriously injured.
The quartet went to this man’s house and opened fire. Postelle, then only nineteen years old, shot two people herself who were trying to escape. A total of four people were killed.
The court found Postelle’s father insane because of his mental problems. He passed away in 2006. The brother received a life sentence and the fourth perpetrator was sentenced to six years in prison for collaborating with the detectives.
Postelle herself was sentenced to death. His request for pardon fell on deaf ears. He was given a lethal injection in McAlester Prison.
