TO almost three months after the fire that, lit on the set of the fiction Civil protectiongot out of control and destroyed much of the island’s Mediterranean scrub, Ambra Angiolini, who is the protagonist of the show, has returned to Stromboli. Objective: help residents clear the mud that the recent flood has dragged into the town.

The river of mud would be a consequence of the fire that broke out at the end of May. The fire lit on the set, fueled by the sirocco wind, turned into an uncontrollable fire which has consumed the vegetation reaching the houses. And now, precisely due to the lack of Mediterranean scrub which previously acted as a brake, the heavy rains that hit the island on 12 August, they washed away the mountain. By bringing the earth and mud that invaded Stromboli into the valley.
