Amber Heard testified for the second time on Thursday at the libel lawsuit filed against her by her ex, Johnny Depp. She told about the first time she hit him, after an argument in which her sister Whitney also became involved. “Whitney threw herself between us,” it sounded. “She tried to make Johnny stop. She stood with her back to the stairs and Johnny lunged at her. I didn’t hesitate, I didn’t wait: I immediately thought of Kate Moss and the stairs.”

The fragment is now going viral on social media, especially the reaction of Ben Chew, one of Depp’s lawyers. When Heard mentions Moss, he turns to the rest of the team and shakes his fist in the air as a sign of victory. Heard’s comment may have allowed Depp’s lawyers to cross-examine past relationships. That can turn out to be disadvantageous for the actress, because she was arrested for domestic violence herself in 2009.

During the libel case in 2020 – against British newspaper ‘The Sun’ – Amber Heard already claimed that she had heard rumors that Depp had pushed his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs. His lawyer Eleanor Laws then strongly objected: “You add that detail about Kate Moss now, but it is not in any document. You haven’t said anything about it before. You’re just making this up. This is your first time talking about it.”

Johnny Depp and Kate Moss met in 1994. They separated in 1998. “There has never been anyone who could take care of me. Johnny did for a while,” the model said in 2012. “I believed what he said. When I wondered what to do, he told me. I missed that when I left,” it sounded. She added that she “cryed for years and years” to get over their relationship.

Johnny Depp was arrested in 1994 for destroying a hotel room with Kate Moss. But no one was injured, and after Depp paid compensation to the hotel, the charges were dropped. At least Kate Moss had no negative feelings: “I was always impressed by his kindness, his great brain, his talent and his sense of humor. I’ve seen Johnny in different situations and he was always friendly, to everyone. He is one of the most generous people I know.”
