Amazon wants to offer delivery services for third-party online shops

US e-commerce giant Amazon may want to take over parcel shipping for web shops that aren’t Amazon sellers, Business Insider reports. Initially, this will only happen in the US.

A selected group of sellers have already received a corresponding request. Interested parties can also register on the website, as reported by Business Insider. Orders are delivered within two to five working days, making it a direct competitor to UPS and FedEx.

It is not clear whether this will apply to all US states. According to the medium, the delivery service will also be launched in the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
