Amazon Fashion launches virtual try-on for sunglasses

Thanks to a new “Virtual Try-on” tool, Amazon customers can now virtually try on sunglasses and see how they look from every angle.

More than 1,500 models of sunglasses from brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Hawkers, Polaroid, Carrera, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade and others are currently available across Europe. The fashion retailer wants to gradually expand virtual fittings to other fashion categories, such as shoes.

“We are very excited to introduce another innovative feature for our Amazon Fashion customers. Virtual Try-On technology makes it easy for our customers to find the perfect pair of sunglasses online that they will love wearing all year round. We look forward to customer and brand feedback, which will also help us expand the VTO experience to additional product categories and styles,” commented Ruth Diaz, VP Amazon Fashion Europe, in a statement.

The “Virtual Try-On” button is located on the product detail page of the desired sunglasses. Users can then use the front camera of their mobile device to see how the glasses look on them from all angles and in all available colors.

It is also possible to take a photo of the sunglasses you are trying on virtually and share it on social media.
