Great, great Ducati. Great, great Aprilia. Everyone expected Fabio Quartararo’s pole position, but on Saturday at Le Mans it’s all Italian, with Francesco Bagnaia in pole position in the French GP ahead of his teammate Jack Miller for 69 thousandths, and Aleix Espargaro closing the front row with the RS -GP of Noale. “They work very well together, great team work” comments Gigi Dall’Igna at the end of qualifying, with the Red’s strategy that worked great, with Pecco pulling Jack in the second run, where the Turinese set an unstoppable pace for everyone, helping his Australian teammate to recover important positions.

Disappointed, in the end, Quartararo, who will start tomorrow from the fourth pitch on the grid, 238 thousandths away from Bagnaia, at the second consecutive pole position. He is surrounded by Italian bikes, the Frenchman from Yamaha, as the fifth time is that of a great Enea Bastianini, with the colored Gresini GP21, while Johann Zarco, with the Pramac one, is 6th. Third row for Joan Mir, Alex Rins and Jorge Martin, fourth all Honda with Marc Marquez ahead of Pol Espargaro and Takaaki Nakagami.

Only 7 thousandths instead cost Marco Bezzecchi’s passage to Q2, who in the end had to surrender to Jorge Martin and Joan Mir, the two promoted. “It burns a bit, but I entered Jerez for 5. But I’m happy with how I grew up”, commented Marco. Behind Bez, Maverick Viñales will start tomorrow in the middle of the fifth row, followed by Luca Marini. Nice qualifying also for Fabio Di Giannantonio, 6th in Q1, one more turn to forget for Franco Morbidelli and Andrea Dovizioso, who seem to have a completely different Yamaha under their asses than Quartararo’s: Franco will start 19th tomorrow, Dovi 20 °.
