Bynes came under guardianship of her mother at the age of 27 because she was not doing well mentally. Bynes is said to have set fire to an elderly woman’s driveway, among other things. Her mother, Lynn Bynes, took control of her finances and health in 2013.
The former child star, now 35, has struggled with addictions in the past. The actress has been off alcohol for a number of years now and goes to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings every week. That does her a lot of good.
