Amado Boudou, the adviser of La Cámpora

To the surprise of many militants who gathered in the Plaza de Mayo, Beloved Boudou approached the demonstration. But, not satisfied with that, the former vice president easily overcame the small corral that separated the people from the leaders and spent much of March 24 a few meters from Maximo Kirchner. He greeted everyone, one by one, and took photos with many of them.

On The Campora his return to the front page did not generate any noise, in fact they were waiting for him: it is that after the break of the group with Alberto Fernández due to the economic measures of the Minister of Economy, Martin Guzmanthe word of Cristina Kirchner’s former running mate became relevant: he became an advisor to La Cámpora.

Many of the arguments used by the former vice president, convicted of the attempted appropriation of the Ciccone banknote factory, are later used in the communiqués of the organization of Maximo Kirchner in the public arguments of their referents. And even some of his ideas came to materiality in the form of a bill. But that’s not all: Máximo’s group opened a basic unit in his honor: “Dear fellow“, is named. After prison, Boudou seeks revenge on him.

Advanced. On February 1, in his radio program, the former vice president ventured to tell what he would do to make Argentina pay its debt to the IMF. His opinion reached the ears of The Campora and his ideas became reality with the passing of days.

“I would make a fund while the debt lasts with taxes on large fortunes. Also with some additional withholding points for primary exports and with undeclared assets that are abroad, ”he said weeks ahead of the debates that would take place in the country.

The rise in withholdings would be announced by the President a month after Boudou’s radio column. But what is most striking is that, before anyone else, the former vice revealed the bill that Kirchner senators were going to present at the end of March: Track undeclared assets out of the country to collect dollars. A visionary.

It was not the only time that Boudou showed his influence. After Máximo decided to vote against the bill in accordance with the IMF and gave his reasons through a letter, the former vice president said: “The things that appear in the document of those who voted against it, I say two years ago”. His economic opinion is relevant so that the K leaders have arguments to face Alberto and Guzman.

Genesis. Boudou was linked to La Cámpora from the beginning. In 2011, he was one of the interlocutors at the event where the group celebrated its first year: “You, the Kirchnerist youth, are building your leaders and the unity that is going to make Argentina unstoppable”, the harangued

His judicial course distanced him from Kirchnerism. For many years, while he was serving time for passive bribery, no one wanted to be associated with the former vice president. However, Boudou remained loyal, bordering on obsequiousness. And that paid off.

After his release, the good news arrived. Communication channels were opened with the Kirchners. One of the main ones is the deputy camporista Paula Penaca, very close to Máximo, who in November inaugurated the basic unit “Compañero Amado” in La Paternal.

“He is a tireless militant of just causes”, Penacca conceptualized it on the opening day of the premises, while Boudou was received as a hero by the camper militancy. In front of the stage where the former vice president would give his speech, there was a brief but very significant sign: “Loyalty to the loyal,” he said.

Now he gives talks in different basic units of The Campora, so that the militancy listens to their ideas. The last one, in mid-March in La Plata.

His opposition to Guzmán left him in a privileged position with Kirchnerism. Boudou advises: “The votes in Congress are never there, you have to build them”, he says when they complain about the partisan minority of the ruling party; “You have to attack Macri more, Alberto does not do it,” he indicates on the debt issue. His words are transformed into orders in La Cámpora.

After being ostracized, Boudou builds a new political career. No one hides it anymore: he hugs in public with Fernanda Raverta, the head of ANSES, and is shown meters away from Máximo. He still lacks the photo with Cristina, so there is no doubt about his stellar comeback. He has time to get it.
