Double figure skating US champion Alysa Liu ends his racing career at just 16 years old. Liu talks about it on his Instagram account.

American Liu skated to No. 7 at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

– Hi, I’m announcing I’m going to stop skating. I started skating when I was 5, so it’s been 11 years. These have been 11 crazy years. Lots of good and a lot of bad, but that’s how it goes.

Teenage Luli has a life ahead of her, and she tells her what to do in the future.

– I’m really happy with how my skating career has gone. Now that I have achieved my goal, I move forward in my life. Now I am going to spend my free time with my family and friends. I will also study.

Liu won his first U.S. championship in 2019 when he was only 13 years old. He also grabbed the championship in his name the following year.

Liu is one of the few female skaters who has been able to jump in a purely triple-axel jump in the competition.
