Alternatives to skating rinks in Waregem and Kortrijk

The ice rink on the Markt in Waregem has been replaced by a roller skating rink. The ice rink attracted about 15,000 skaters throughout the end of the year, but that will probably be different this year, thinks alderman Kristof Chanterie. “Let’s hope that next time we can build an ice rink again. Hopefully energy prices will have dropped to a normal level by then. We will have to wait and see.”

Kortrijk has already scrapped the ice rink and replaced it with a maze as an alternative. In both Kortrijk and Waregem there are other options to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.
