The sun is shining, the flowers are coming out and the birds are making themselves heard early. Spring has begun. According to Ilse Jespers of Matchmaker Brabant, the date season for singles looking for love. But where do you go for such an exciting first date? Some tips.
Matchmaker Ilse Jespers advises not to just sit and look into each other’s eyes while waiting for Cupid to fire his arrows. Be active on your date, is her tip. “Really do something! Going out, preferably in a neutral place and not at someone’s home,” says the dating expert.
check. But what should you think about? According to Ilse, there are countless options:
- De Beekse Bergen, for a short route through the animal park. Where you can chat with each other, but also admire the new and cute animals.
- Discover a new city. Somewhere where you can’t easily run into a friend or an ex. Three is soon too much, but you certainly don’t want that last one.
- Go to the flea market. You can immediately see what your date likes.
- Take a nice walk through the Drunense Duinen, where you can talk together but also enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
- Go ‘old school’ to a game hall. Try not to get too competitive, but a little fanaticism won’t hurt.
Not only does Ilse give advice on nice places to get to know each other, she also organizes them. For example, she will hold a single run in Breda on May 12. “Here we are going to walk 2 rounds through the Valkenberg Park with a group of 100 bachelors. The singles meet each other through our route. At the end, the single men and women pass on who they like,” says the matchmaker.
